NCECBVI, Nebraska City
Sensing & Learning for Students with Visual & Multiple Impairments
This interactive Sensing & Learning workshop will focus on understanding key skills of a sensorimotor stage learner with visual and multiple impairments. Participants will explore how to identify present levels, motivating learning media, and design instructional routines that match a student’s unique strengths and needs. As a hands-on component, each participant will build a story bag with a book and objects and create a routine for a specific student. By the end of the session, attendees will leave with both a deeper understanding of the Sensing & Learning approach and a ready-to-use tool for supporting engagement, communication, and learning.
