ASSESSMENT SERVICES

Educational assessments are provided for students who are blind or visually impaired. These assessments will be provided in a variety of locations: in the home school district, in the family's home, in the student's home community, and/or at the Nebraska Center for the Education of Children Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired. The assessment outreach team also coordinate with other professional and related service evaluators to provide a comprehensive result. Assessments may include: 

  • Low Vision Clinics
  • Orientation and Mobility Assessments
  • Functional Vision Assessments
  • Academic Achievement Assessments
  • Psychological Evaluations
  • Daily Living Assessments
  • Learning Media Assessments (Including, but not limited to: Braille, large print, magnification, auditory)
  • Technology Assessments
  • Transitional Living Assessments
  • Assistive Technology Assessments
  • Others Upon Request
  • Specialized services for students with blindness, visual impairments and multiples disabilities
