Educational assessments are provided for students who are blind or visually impaired. These assessments will be provided in a variety of locations: in the home school district, in the family's home, in the student's home community, and/or at the Nebraska Center for the Education of Children Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired. The assessment outreach team also coordinate with other professional and related service evaluators to provide a comprehensive result. Assessments may include:
- Low Vision Clinics
- Orientation and Mobility Assessments
- Functional Vision Assessments
- Academic Achievement Assessments
- Psychological Evaluations
- Daily Living Assessments
- Learning Media Assessments (Including, but not limited to: Braille, large print, magnification, auditory)
- Transitional Living Assessments
- Assistive Technology Assessments
- Others Upon Request
- Specialized services for students with blindness, visual impairments and multiples disabilities
