Technology Services

Our Center provides support for the use of technology for blind and low vision student's age's birth to age 21 in Nebraska. Most of the software and hardware discussed on the web site is in use daily at the Center in Nebraska City. Our technology team has experience with Macintosh and Windows software as well as special equipment designed to aid the vision-impaired student. The Center can also provide technology evaluations that aid school districts in obtaining the most appropriate technology for individual students. In-services can be provided on any of the technology seen on these pages to assist educational staff in the implementing of new software/hardware for students. Intensive training on the use of technology can be provided with short-term placement of a student at the Center.
