POSITION VACANCY

POSITION TITLE: Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist

LOCATION: Nebraska Center for the Education of Children Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired, Nebraska City, NE

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Open Until Filled

START DATE: On or about August 15, 2007

SALARY: Negotiable (Based on Education and Experience)

CONTRACT: 185 Day School Year Contract
(with additional summer hours possible)

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Provide statewide outreach consultation and assessment services. Provide direct orientation and mobility instruction for center-based program.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of or ability to obtain Nebraska Teaching Certificate with Visual Impairment Endorsement, ACVREP Certification in Orientation and Mobility

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Three years of VI and O/M teaching experience. Emphasis in one or more of the following: early childhood, technology, daily living skills, transition.
